Cullinan Diamond Mine, a working diamond mine east of Pretoria, is home to the world’s largest diamond – the Cullinan (3106ct), discovered in 1905.

A walking tour of the surface workings at the mine is followed by a private and interactive tour at one of the world’s most reputable dealers of conflict-free diamonds and Tanzanite.
Here you get to witness the cutting and polishing process, showing how a rough stone from the mine is transformed into a dazzling piece of jewellery!

Visit the Wits Sterkfontein Cave and the Maropeng Visitor Centre in the Cradle of Humankind – one of the world’s richest hominid sites, with finds that include Australopithecus africanus, Australopithecus sediba and Homo naledi.

After being closed for over 2 years, due to severe flooding in December 2022 that caused significant infrastructural damage, Wits Sterkfontein Caves is once again open to the public

Whilst previously serving primarily as a tourist destination, the reimagined Wits Sterkfontein Caves offers a more immersive research and educational experience, bringing visitors closer to the science that has defined the site for nearly 100 years.

We begin the day with a visit to the Wits Sterkfontein Caves in the Cradle of Humankind for a guided underground tour.
This remarkable site is one of the richest hominid fossil locations in the world, with discoveries that include Australopithecus africanus, Australopithecus sediba and Homo naledi.

After resurfacing, it’s time to enjoy some African sunshine at the nearby Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve.
We’ll explore the park on a guided safari drive in our own tour vehicle, with the chance to spot a wide variety of Africa’s astonishing and varied wildlife – including rhino, lion, cheetah and wild dogs.
